Behavior Specialist/Therapist
Samaritan Counseling Center is looking for qualified candidates to provide high quality intervention services in our B.E.A.M.S. (Behavior Education And Management Services) Program. The BEAMS Program provides in-home behavior modification training and intervention services to parents and families of children with developmental disabilities such as ASD, Down Syndrome, and Intellectual Disabilities. The program serves much of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Opportunities are available in all service locations with an emphasis in the low desert, high desert and South Riverside County. Duties (including, but not limited to):
Provide behavior modification & intervention services to developmentally challenged children using ABA principles, decreasing undesirable & increasing positive behaviors.
Support, train and educate parents and families of developmentally challenged children.
Appropriate documentation
Work under the supervision of the Executive Director (a licensed clinical psychologist)
Job Qualifications:
Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling or related field, ABA training/certification
Preferred Education: Master’s degree in a related field and have experience with children with developmental disabilities; Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and/or who are BCBA trained/certified are especially encouraged to apply
1-2 years of experience implementing behavior modification intervention services
CA driver’s license, car insurance, no major DMV violations and a reliable car (driving is required)
Bilingual - Spanish - a plus
Ability to pass a background and reference check
Enthusiasm and professionalism working with special needs children and their families
Pay is dependent on experience and is based on clinical billable hours plus some mileage reimbursement. Must be available a minimum of 15 hours/week, actual hours worked will depend on referrals and ability to successfully develop and maintain caseload. Some afternoon and evening availability is required and weekend work is also available. Specialists have flexibility to independently plan, schedule and directly travel to clients’ homes to maximize efficiency in the field.

Licensed Clinical Therapist
Samaritan Counseling Center (SCC) located in Upland, CA, is seeking a professional, self-motivated, team player to serve as a Licensed Clinical Therapist. The successful candidate will provide psychotherapy/counseling services for individuals, couples, and families and be able to generate referrals via outreach to the community. Therapists of SCC utilize varied treatment modalities, deeply value the approach of treating the whole person, and seek to utilize the person's strengths integrating mind, body, spirit, and community while maintaining cultural sensitivity. With appropriate experience, there is the possibility to provide supervision and training of staff.
Requirements for application include:
Graduation from an accredited graduate program with a masters or doctoral level degree and licensure in the state of California as PSY, LMFT LCSW or LPCC.
Applicants should possess strong clinical training and experience (2 years post licensure preferred).
Experience with child/youth therapy highly desired.
Credentialing on insurance panels
Bilingual- Spanish a plus.
